Artist's Comments
This is an older piece that is in my gallery and has been hanging on my wall for awhile. I decided that he needed a background so I not only added the sky but I gave him wings. This is based upon Donatello's sculpture of the David but I have changed it so much. He is older, skinnier, taller, has clothing, wings and of course a background. I am hoping that it is ok to submit this, about all that is left of the original is the pose and the hat. It is graphite on paper but the sky is done in photoshop. I am trying to make this a print and I am not sure I am going about this correctly so I am crossing my fingers!
